Phytosauria
Phytosauria (subclass Archosauria, order Thecodontia) A suborder that has only one family, the Phytosauridae, which were specialized thecodonts similar to crocodiles in general shape. They date from the latter part of the Triassic and inhabited N. America, Europe, and India. They were displaced by the crocodiles at the end of the Triassic.
