Good's (1974, The Geography of the Flowering Plants) Polynesian floral subkingdom, within his Palaeotropical floral kingdom, which also includes Lord Howe and Norfolk Islands. It has a remarkably rich flora, with a high degree of endemism. Some of the endemic genera, of which there are well over 100, constitute separate families (or nearly so). See also floral province and floristic region.
