Meganisoptera
Meganisoptera (Paralogidae, dragonflies; order Odonata) Extinct suborder of large, Palaeozoic dragonflies that lacked the well-known venational characteristics of present-day Odonata. The suborder includes some of the largest insects known. Meganeura gracilipes had a wing-span of 70 cm and M. monyi had a wing-span of 60–70 cm.
