Eperua (family Leguminosae, subfamily Caesalpinoideae) A genus of trees in which the leaves are pinnate. E. falcata (wallaba) yields a hard, valuable timber, and grows gregariously on white-sand soils. There are 14 species, occurring in tropical S. America.
