Dolichoderinae
Dolichoderinae(suborder Apocrita, family Formicidae) Subfamily of ants which have a single, flattened, scale on the petiole, often overhung by the first gastral segment. Venom is extruded through a ventral, transverse slit at the tip of the gaster. There are about 500 species, with a world-wide distribution.
