Cepaea
Cepaea A genus of snails, including C. hortensis and C. nemoralis, that show visible polymorphism for banding, shell colour, and shell height. They have formed the subject of extensive studies in ecological genetics, where it has been shown that different selective processes relating to various factors, including differential predation and differential response to sunlight, are responsible for the maintenance of the different morphs in the population.
