Calytrix
Calytrix (family Myrtaceae) A genus of heath-like shrubs with xeromorphic foliage that are found mainly on heaths and semi-arid sites of low fertility in Eucalyptus communities. The star-like, 5-petalled flowers have a persistent, reddish calyx which remains showy after the corolla has withered. There are about 40 species, endemic (see ENDEMISM) to Australia.
