LEDEEN, HYMAN
LEDEEN, HYMAN (1894–1981), U.S. inventor. Born in Cherven, Russia, Ledeen was taken to the U.S. in 1903. His numerous inventions include an air hoist, steel punch, speed reducer, flexible coupling, bearing for variable speed transmission, and pump for oil wells.
