Cordi-Marian Missionary Sisters
CORDI-MARIAN MISSIONARY SISTERS
(MCM, Official Catholic Directory #0725); founded in Mexico City, Mexico, on March 19, 1921, by Mother Carmen Serrano and a Claretian priest, Julian Collell. Forced into exile by persecution, the sisters came to Martindale, Texas, in 1926. Six years later a novitiate was opened in San Antonio. Their apostolate consists of education, catechetics, and social work. The generalte is located in Toluca, Mexico. The United States provincialate is in San Antonio, Texas.
