Uijeongbu
Uijeongbu or Uijongbu (ŏŏ´ē´jông´bōō´), city (1995 pop. 276,255), Gyeonggi (Kyonggi) prov., NW South Korea. Part of Seoul's fringe industrial region, Uijeongbu is an agricultural center with textile, food-processing, and paper industries. It was an important UN military base during the Korean War.
