Grenfell, Bernard Pyne
Bernard Pyne Grenfell (grĕn´fĕl), 1869–1926, English classical scholar and Egyptologist. With Arthur Surridge Hunt he discovered at Oxyrhynchus the Logia of Jesus (see Agrapha of Jesus). He became in 1908 professor of papyrology at Oxford and helped edit the Oxyrhynchus Papyri (9 vol., 1897–1912) and other similar works.
