Adapazari
Adapazari (ädä´päzär´ə), city (1990 pop. 174,400), capital of Adapazari prov., NW Turkey, on the Sakarya River. It is the trade center for an agricultural region producing tobacco, sugar beets, and grains. Its manufactures include refined sugar, farm machinery, textiles, and cement. It suffered earthquake damage in 1999.
