SETTLEMENT PARTY (Mifleget ha-Hityashvut, in Hebrew)
Israeli political entity, formed in April, 1996, in anticipation of the coming Knesset elections. This movement was created uniquely to draw the attention of the Israeli government to the plight of Jewish settlers, who would lose everything, were there to be an Israeli withdrawal from the occupied territories. The Settlement Party obtained no seat in the Knesset.
