Multilateral Working Group on Refugees (MWGR)
MULTILATERAL WORKING GROUP ON REFUGEES (MWGR)
One of five working groups formed according to the recommendations from the Middle East peace conference held in Madrid in 1991. Its purpose is to deal with the problem of the Palestinian refugees who left Palestine during the various Israeli-Arab conflicts. Its most recent meeting, held on 6 February 2000, was attended by the foreign ministers of Israel, Egypt, and Jordan, plus a representative of the Palestinian Authority.
