Committee of Six on Palestine
COMMITTEE OF SIX ON PALESTINE
Structure connected to the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), created at the Twelfth Islamic Conference of Foreign Ministers, held in Baghdad between 1 and 5 June 1981. The committee—originally composed of the foreign ministers of Pakistan, Senegal, Malaysia, and Guinea plus the OIC secretary general—was responsible for seeking to implement sanctions against Israel that had been adopted by the OIC at previous summit and foreign ministers' meetings. The committee continues to be active and includes the foreign minister of the Palestinian Authority as the sixth member.
