Warburg Institute
Warburg Institute founded to house a library dedicated to preserving the classical heritage of Western culture, built up in Hamburg from 1905 by the German art historian Aby Warburg (1866–1929). In 1933 it was transferred to England and housed in the Warburg Institute (part of the University of London).
