Fox's martyrs

Fox's martyrs was the satirical description of the 90 or so supporters of the Fox–North coalition who lost their seats in Pitt's landslide victory at the general election of 1784. It derived its name from John Foxe's famous book of 1563 of the sufferings of the faithful.
