Piggott, Lester Keith
Piggott, Lester Keith (1935– ) English jockey. He rode his first winner at the age of 12. Piggott was champion jockey 11 times between 1960 and 1982. Among 30 victories in English classics, he rode a record nine winners of the Epsom Derby. Piggott won a career total of 4493 races. He retired in 1996.
