Gooch, Graham Alan
Gooch, Graham Alan (1953– ) English cricketer. In 1975, Gooch played in the first of his 118 test matches for England. In 1982, he captained a ‘rebel’ tour of South Africa, and was banned from test cricket for three years. He was captain of England (1988–93). In 1993, he surpassed David Gower as England's leading run-scorer. Gooch scored a total of 8900 test runs.
