Full name, Ahmed A. Best; born June 7, 1974, in the Bronx, New York, NY; son of Adrian (a television camera operator) and Ahmondylla (a percussionist and artist) Best. Education: Attended high school in Maplewood, NJ.

Career: Actor and musician (percussionist). Jazzhole, former band member; performed in the United States and abroad with Women of the Calabash and Lady Gourd Sangoma; musician for commercials; also a composer for various performers.
