Danny T. Le Memorial Scholarships (High School, Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to students of Vietnamese descent from the Greater Houston area for pursuing further education. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be of Vietnamese descent; must be graduated or graduating from a high school in the Greater Houston Area and pursuing degree at an accredited 4-year college or university. Criteria: Applicants are evaluated based on academic excellence; compassion and desire to help others; strong will and determination to achieve their goals.

Funds Avail.: $1,250. To Apply: Applicants must download and complete the application form and submit it with their resume, an essay and a letter of recommendation. Deadline: May 5.

Le Hoang Nguyen (LHN) College Scholarships (High School/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to outstanding graduating high school seniors attending college in the upcoming fall semester. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be Vietnamese descendants and residents of the state of Texas; must be graduating high school seniors with a GPA of 3.0 or higher; must be ranked in the top 10% of graduating high school class; must attend the first semester at an accredited college or university immediately following notification of the scholarship award. Criteria: Applicants are evaluated based on academic achievement and financial need.

Funds Avail.: $500. Number Awarded: 1. To Apply: Applicants must complete the online application; upload resume and essays with online application and submit recommendation online. Deadline: May 5.

The Thuy Nguyen Scholarships (High School/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to high school senior students for furthering their education. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be graduating high school seniors from Houston or the surrounding area; must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher; must be descendants of at least one Vietnamese parent; and must have a family annual income of less than $50,000. Criteria: Applicants are evaluated based on financial need.

Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: Applicants must complete online application form; upload resume and essay with online application and submit recommendation online. Deadline: May 5.

Vera Tran Memorial Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to graduating high school seniors of Vietnamese descent wishing to pursue further education. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be of Vietnamese descent, graduating high school seniors from Houston or the surrounding area who are planning to pursue an education at an accredited 4-year college or university. Criteria: Applicants are evaluated based on demonstrated dedication to academic excellence; passion for learning; compassion and desire to help others; pursuit of their dreams; and proven leadership.

Funds Avail.: $2,000. To Apply: Applicants must complete the online application and submit it with their resume; must also send one transcript and recommendation. Deadline: May 5.
