Ginger and Fred Deines Canada Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To create, stimulate, and perpetuate discussion of topics relating to local and national transportation issues; to promote member clubs, companies, and individuals the importance of transportation and transportation logistics; to promote the general welfare of member clubs and their membership; to provide an international forum for local transportation and logistics organizations; to stimulate and perpetuate dialogue among its members on subjects of national and international transportation importance; and to promote education in the transportation industry. Focus: Transportation; Logistics; Traffic Management. Qualif.: Applicants must be enrolled in an educational program in an accredited institution of higher learning in a vocational or degree program in the fields of Transportation, Logistics or Traffic Management or related fields intending to prepare for a career in these areas. They must be of Canadian nationality and enrolled in a school in Canada or the U.S. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on scholastic ability, potential, professional interest, character, and financial need.

Funds Avail.: $2,000. To Apply: Applicants must submit a certified copy of the college/university transcript; three letters of recommendation; a small, current photograph to be used for publication; an essay of not more than 200-words, explaining why you have chosen transportation or an allied field as a career path; and outline of the objectives.
