Independent, university, coed, affiliated with Church of Christ. Awards bachelor's, master's, doctoral, and first professional degrees and post-master's certificates. Founded 1937. Setting: 830-acre small town campus with easy access to Los Angeles. Total enrollment: 7,919. Faculty: 743 (390 full-time, 353 part-time). Student-undergrad faculty ratio is 12:1. 6,024 applied, 29% were admitted. Full-time: 2,651 students, 58% women, 42% men. Part-time: 550 students, 49% women, 51% men. Collegiate Environment:
