NASIG Conference Student Grants (Postdoctorate/Grant)

Purpose: To encourage participation in the serials information chain. Focus: Computer and information sciences. Qualif.: Applicants must be full or part-time students who are currently enrolled at the graduate level at an ALA-accredited library school. Criteria: Applicants must not have attended a previous NASIG conference, but may have participated in a NASIG conference as a local volunteer.

Funds Avail.: No amount mentioned. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed application form and a reference questionnaire. Deadline: February 15.

Fritz Schwartz Serials Education Scholarships (Other/Scholarship)

Purpose: To advance the serials profession by providing educational opportunities for students with prior serials experience. Focus: Internet design and development. Qualif.: Applicants must be students in any NASIG member country (defined for this purpose as the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Greenland). Criteria: Priority is given to applicants with serials-related work experience and a desire to pursue a professional serials career after earning the graduate library degree.

Funds Avail.: $3,000. Deadline: February 15.
