Independent Baptist, 4-year, women only. Awards bachelor's degrees. Founded 1838. Setting: 80-acre rural campus with easy access to Birmingham. Endowment: $12.4 million. Educational spending 2003-04: $8871 per student. Total enrollment: 360.
