Mike Crapo Math and Science Scholarship Fund (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To assist Idaho students who are interested in pursuing math and science degrees at Idaho college and universities. Focus: Mathematics and mathematical sciences. Qualif.: Applicants must be students pursuing math and science degrees at Idaho colleges and universities. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need and academic performance.

Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: Applicants must submit a “300-word or less” original essay discussing the value of math and science to an individual and society as a whole; most recent certified transcript from high school and higher education institution; two letters of reference from teacher/professor of math or science and from two members of the community who are not relatives and ACT/SAT Assessment Report. Deadline: April 30.

Goldmann Scholarships Fund (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To promote greater understanding of the Holocaust among high school students in Idaho. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be senior students in an accredited high school or home school in Idaho; must have plans to attend an accredited Idaho Institution of higher learning during the academic year. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on originality of an essay or research paper.

Funds Avail.: $1,200. To Apply: Applicants must submit a formal research paper, bibliography and references. Deadline: April 15.

Idaho Nursing Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To assist recipients with educational expenses at any Idaho accredited nursing program. Focus: Nursing. Qualif.: Applicants must be students that have been accepted by an accredited Idaho nursing program or be in the top third of the academic ranking of the class. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need.

Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: Applicants must send three copies of signed and completed application form. Deadline: April 30.

Idaho Society of CPA’s Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To attract the best and brightest students to the profession pursuing an accounting degree at an Idaho school. Focus: Accounting. Qualif.: Applicants must be

residents of Idaho; must be enrolled as full-time students at the junior or senior level of public or private college or university in the state of Idaho majoring in accounting; must have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or above for all class work prior to the application. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on GPA or academic standing, individual achievement as evidenced through participation in outside and activities, leadership roles, work experience and sincere desire for further education or training.

Funds Avail.: $1,000. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed application form. Deadline: April 16.

Jim Poore Memorial Scholarship (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To encourage and promote the attainment of higher education goals for students who have demonstrated an aptitude for and an interest in writing. Focus: Writing. Qualif.: Applicants must be graduating seniors from public or private school of Ada, Adams, Boise, Canyon, Elmore, Gem, Payette, Valley, Washington or a high school serving the Marsing, Homedale, Bruneau or Riggins communities. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on general school record, community activities, writing sample and an oral interview in Boise by Committee Members.

Funds Avail.: $1,000. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed application form. Deadline: April 15.

Roger C. Sathre Memorial Scholarship Fund (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To recognize and encourage outstanding Idaho students pursuing first certificates or degree in professional-technical education or professional-technical teacher education at Idaho Schools. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be residents of Idaho; must have graduated from an accredited public or private high school in Idaho or equivalent; must have maintained a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better during the previous two years of school at an accredited high school or post-secondary school; must be enrolled as full-time students as defined by the school in a professional-technical or professional-technical teacher education program at an accredited college or university in Idaho; must be pursuing an undergraduate course of consecutive attendance and leading to a first degree, technical certificate or other approved award. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need.

Funds Avail.: $500. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed application form; must write an essay identifying the reasons for wanting to pursue the chosen field; must obtain two letters of recommendation, report documenting financial need and portfolio of academic and technical achievement. Deadline: February 1.

W.L. Shattuck Scholarship (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To further the education of students at an accredited college, university or technical college. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be students who are high school graduates of Idaho Falls School District 91 or Bonneville School District 93 not younger than 16 or older than 26 years old; must be accepted and enrolled at an accredited higher education or technical education program. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need.

Funds Avail.: $1,000. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed application form; an official high school transcript; two letters of recommendation; resume and short
