Lawrence Alan Spiegel Remembrance Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance for high school students residing in Maine. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be high school seniors or home-schoolers who are residents of Maine and who have been accepted at any accredited and Title IV eligible college, university or technical school. Criteria: Applicants are evaluated by a panel of judges based on submitted essay.

Funds Avail.: $1,000. To Apply: Applicants must write an essay on “Why is it important that the remembrance, history and lessons of the Holocaust be passed to a new generation?” The essay is not to exceed four typed, double-spaced pages. The essay must be accompanied by a self-addressed, stamped envelope and a completed application.
