R.W. “Bob” Holden Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide support to students with dedication and leadership potential to work toward the standard of excellence. Focus: Hotel, institutional, and restaurant management. Qualif.: Applicant must be a resident of Hawaii and a U.S citizen; must be a junior or senior attending an accredited university or college and accepted in a hotel management program; must have a minimum of 3.0 grade. Criteria: Selection of applicants will be based on the citizenship and leadership as demonstrated through activities and college performance.

Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: Applicants must submit a current transcript, letter of recommendation from a college professor, counselor or dean; must provide an autobiography, photograph, and career goals essay. Application form and other supporting documents must be sent to R.W. Bob Holden Scholarship Committee, Hawaii Hotel Industry Foundation, 2270 Kalakaua Ave., Ste. 1506, Honolulu, HI 96815. Deadline: June 30.

Clem Judd Jr. Memorial Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide support to undergraduate students who wants to pursue their education. Focus: Hotel, institutional, and restaurant management. Qualif.: Applicant must provide a proof of Native Hawaiian ancestry; must be a resident of Hawaii; must be a graduating senior accepted an accredited university or college; must maintain a minimum 2.8 grade point average. Criteria: Selection of applicants will be based on the citizenship and leadership as demonstrated through activities and college performance.

Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: Applicants must provide a proof of residency, proof of U.S. citizenship, and proof of Native Hawaii ancestry; must have a current high school report card or current college transcript (if transferring from 2 year to 4 year college); must have a autobiography, and photograph; must provide a letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor or principal, and a career goal essay (500 words or less). Application form and other supporting documents must be sent to Native Hawaiian Scholarships Committee, Hawaii Hotel Industry Foundation, 2270 Kalakaua Ave., Ste. 1506, Honolulu, HI 96815.
