Independent interdenominational, 4-year, coed. Awards associate and bachelor's degrees. Founded 1900. Setting: 14-acre urban campus. Total enrollment: 300. Student-undergrad faculty ratio is 16:1. 89 applied, 82% were admitted. 44% from top quarter of their high school class, 72% from top half. Full-time: 248 students, 55% women, 45% men. Part-time: 52 students, 33% women, 67% men. Students come from 25 states and territories, 13 other countries, 1% Native American, 1% Hispanic, 0.4% black, 2% Asian American or Pacific Islander, 12% international, 19% 25 or older, 9% transferred in. Retention: 77% of full-time freshmen returned the following year. Academic areas with the most degrees conferred: education; visual/performing arts. Core. Calendar: semesters. Application fee: $50. Comprehensive fee: $7780 includes full-time tuition ($4030), mandatory fees ($600), and college room and board ($3150). College room only: $1900. Part-time tuition: $155 per credit. Part-time mandatory fees: $25 per credit hour.

Collegiate Environment:
