God Said “Ha!”
God Said “Ha!” ★★★ 1999 (PG-13)
Julia Sweeney recounts a very trying year in her life in this adaptation of her onewoman Broadway show. She tells of her brother's fight with lymphoma, which caused him (as well as her parents) to move in with her, as well as her own battle with cervical cancer. Sweeney's wry observations and loving rememberances prevent melodrama from seeping in. As with most monologues-turned-movies, this one works much better in the smallscreen setting. 87m/C VHS . Julia Sweeney; D: Julia Sweeney; W: Julia Sweeney; C: John Hora; M: Anthony Marinelli.
