Architects Association of PEI Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to qualified individuals who want to pursue their education. Focus: Architecture. Qualif.: Applicant must be a Prince Edward Island student who graduated from a PEI High School and has been accepted into a recognized architectural program. Criteria: Recipient will be selected based on the scholarship application requirements.

Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: Applicant must complete the application form available online; must submit an official transcript of marks, copy of letter of acceptance from the university, an essay, two reference letters, and portfolio of work. Application form and other supporting documents must be sent to Community Foundation of Prince Edward Island, 119-121 Queen St. Ste. 105, Charlottetown, PE C1A4B3. Deadline: May 30.

Joan Auld Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to qualified individuals who want to pursue their education. Focus: Art; Crafts; Design. Qualif.: Applicant must be a Canadian citizen; must have been a resident of P.E.I for at least the 6 months prior to application; must be undertaking full-time studies in a craft-related field at a recognized institution of applied art, craft and design; must demonstrate high school graduation or equivalence. Criteria: Recipient will be selected based on the scholarship application criteria.

Funds Avail.: $200. To Apply: Applicants must complete the application form available online; must provide an outline of the proposed course of study and the name of the institution where they will attend the class; must submit a essay about their background, interest, aims, and ambitions; must submit a letter of reference and portfolio demonstrating previous work, samples of craft-related work, sketches, video or pictures; must include written verification of acceptance. Application form and other supporting documents must be sent to Joan Auld Scholarship Fund c/o The Community Foundation of Prince Edward Island, 119- 121 Queen St. Charlottetown, PE C1A 4B3. Lorne and Ruby Bonnell Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide scholarship assistance to qualified individuals who want to pursue their studies. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicant must be a graduate of a Prince Edward Island high school; must be a graduate of the University of Prince Edward Island with high academic standing; must be accepted into graduate studies in the sciences at a Canadian university. Criteria: Recipient will be selected by the selection committee following the guidelines of conditions of eligibility.

Funds Avail.: $1,000. To Apply: Applicant must complete the application form available online; must submit an official letter of acceptance from a Canadian graduate school. Application form and other supporting documents must be sent to Lorne and Ruby Bonnell Scholarship Fund c/o The Community Foundation of Prince Edward Island, 119-121 Queen St. Ste. 105, Charlottetown, PE C1A4B3. Deadline: May 30.

Remarks: Scholarship Fund was established on December 14, 2000 by the Honorable M. Lorne Bonnell, a prominent Prince Edward Island medical doctor, past Cabinet Minister of the Provincial Legislature, and Senator.

Orin Carver Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to qualified individuals who want to pursue their education. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be high school graduates in the top 25% of their class; must exhibit excellence and leadership in either athletics, arts and/or community service; must be accepted into a post-secondary

program at UPEI or Holland College. Criteria: Recipient will be selected based on the scholarship application requirements.

Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: Applicants must complete the application form available online; must have a formal statement of academic standing and official academic transcript for most recent academic year, as verified by educational institute attended; must have two letters of reference (one from the educational institution and one from a community member); must provide a 500 word essay or portfolio of their excellent works. Application form and other supporting documents must be sent to Orin Carver Scholarship Selection Committee, c/o Community Foundation of PEI, 119-121 Queen St. Ste. 105, Charlot-tetown, PE C1A4b3. Deadline: May 30.

Phillips Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to qualified individuals who want to pursue their education. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicant must be a high school graduate from the Western School District with a physical disability; must be a resident of Prince County; must have financial need; must have been accepted at a recognized post-secondary institution. Criteria: Recipient will be selected based on the scholarship application criteria.

Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: Applicant must complete the application form available online; must submit a copy of their final grades; must have a brief description of their physical disability and what they hope to gain from their studies; must have a letter of acceptance for the next year’s study. Application form and other supporting documents must be sent to Lowell Phillips Scholarship Award c/o Community Foundation of Prince Edward Island, 119-121 Queen St. Ste. 105, Charlottetown, PEI C1A 4B3. Deadline: May 30.

Summerside-Natick Hockey Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to qualified individuals who want to pursue their education. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicant must be a high school graduate of Prince Edward Island; must be accepted at a post-secondary institution; must be entering the first year of study; must have played in the Summerside Area Minor Hockey Association. Criteria: Recipient will be selected based on the scholarship application criteria.

Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: Applicant must complete the application form available online; must include a letter detailing how he/she meets the selection criteria; must have an official letter of acceptance from a recognized post-secondary institution; must submit two letters of reference; and most recent transcript. Application form and other supporting documents must be sent to The Summerside-Natick International Friendship Fund c/o The Community Foundation of Prince Edward Island, 119-121 Queen St. Ste. 105, Queen Square Place, Charlottetown, PE C1A 4B3. Deadline: May 30.

Remarks: Founding members of the International Friendship Hockey Series Committee established the Summerside-Natick International Friendship Hockey Fund.
