CAG Donald Menzies Bursary Awards (Postgraduate/Award/Prize)

Purpose: To support post-baccalaureate students registered in a program of study focused on aging or the aged. Focus: Gerontology. Qualif.: Applicant must be a CAG member; must be registered, or formally accepted as a full-time student in a post-baccalaureate program at a recognized Canadian university at the time the application is submitted; must be a Canadian citizen or have permanent resident status. Criteria: Recipient will be selected by the Awards Committee based on academic merit among students demonstrating financial need.

Funds Avail.: $1,500. To Apply: Applicant must submit the application form with the university transcript; proof of registration, or acceptance in university program; a letter of support from the faculty supervisor; and an approved thesis/research project proposal (if applicable). Applicant must submit a photo and a short biographical profile for the CAG Newsletter. Deadline: April 15.

CAG Margery Boyce Bursary Awards (Postgraduate/Award/Prize)

Purpose: To support post-baccalaureate students who have made a significant contribution to their community through volunteer activities and who are registered in a program of study focused on aging or the aged. Focus: Gerontology. Qualif.: Applicant must be a CAG member; must be registered, or formally accepted at a recognized Canadian university at the time the application is submitted; must be a Canadian citizen or have permanent resident status. Criteria: Recipient will be recommended by the Awards Committee based on his/her contribution to the community through volunteer activities and based on his/her academic performance. Preference will be given to persons returning to university after an absence from formal study.

Funds Avail.: $500. To Apply: Applicants must submit an application form with transcripts; proof of registration or acceptance in a university program; letter of support from the faculty supervisor or program Chair which addresses the criteria for the bursary and the letter of support from any community organization that can address the amount and quality of the applicant's volunteer activities as related to the criteria; Applicant must submit a photo and a short biographical profile for the CAG Newsletter. Deadline: April 15.
