Jack Ackroyd Scholarships (Professional Development/Scholarship)
Purpose: To encourage members of police forces across Canada to further their education with a view of promoting professionalism and excellence throughout the policing community. Focus: Law enforcement. Qualif.: Applicants must be all uniform and civilian members of police forces, who have completed a degree or certificate program in police studies, criminology, law, or other programs related
to law enforcement in an accredited Canadian university or community college. Criteria: Applicants who have demonstrated academic excellence in police related studies will be given preference.
Funds Avail.: $100. Number Awarded: 5. To Apply: Applicants must submit documents pertaining to their personal information, police service of employment, date of graduation, official transcripts of courses and grades, and any other information which may be considered relevant including any letter of support from the police service of which they are members. Deadline: October 15.
