Description:

Proprietary, primarily 2-year, coed. Awards certificates, transfer associate, terminal associate, and bachelor's degrees. Founded 1931. Setting: 25-acre suburban campus with easy access to New York City. Total enrollment: 2,313. Student-undergrad faculty ratio is 22:1. Full-time: 1,966 students, 72% women, 28% men. Part-time: 347 students, 86% women, 14% men. Students come from 8 states and territories, 25 other countries, 0.3% Native American, 34% Hispanic, 15% black, 5% Asian American or Pacific Islander, 2% international, 26% 25 or older, 1% live on campus, 5% transferred in. Core. Academic remediation for entering students, ESL program, advanced placement, distance learning, summer session for credit, part-time degree program, adult/continuing education programs, co-op programs and internships. Costs Per Year:

Application fee: $40. Comprehensive fee: $25,950 includes full-time tuition ($16,200), mandatory fees ($750), and college room and board ($9000). College room only: $5400. Part-time tuition: $395 per credit. Part-time mandatory fees: $75 per term.

Collegiate Environment:

Student-run newspaper. Social organizations: 9 open to all; local fraternities, local sororities; 5% of eligible men and 15% of eligible women are members. Most popular organizations: Student Government Association, Athletics Club, Paralegal Student Association, International Club, Fashion and Marketing Club. Major annual events: Berkeley Day, Mardi Gras, Spring Fling. Student services: personal-psychological counseling.
