Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond was founded in 1991. It is accredited by Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada. It first offered distance learning courses in 2000. In fall 2004, there were 250 students enrolled in distance learning courses. Institutionally administered financial aid is available to distance learners.
