mandapa. Hall in a Hindu temple, sometimes with a pyramidal superstructure, and with columns supporting intricate ceilings (often consisting of concentric rings of corbelled masonry). The temples at Dilwara, Mount Abu, Rajasthan (C12) have good examples.
