SECAM Abbrev for Système Électronique Couleur Avec Mémoire, which was adopted in 1967. It has 625 lines and 25 frames per second. SECAM was introduced in the early 1960s and implemented in France. SECAM uses the same bandwidth as PAL but transmits the color information sequentially.
