eosinophilia (ee-oh-sin-ŏ-fil-iă) n. an increase in the number of eosinophils in the blood. Eosinophilia occurs in response to certain drugs and in a variety of diseases, including allergies, parasitic infestations, and certain forms of leukaemia.
