dydrogesterone (dy-droh-jest-er-ohn) n. a synthetic female sex hormone (see progestogen) administered by mouth to treat endometriosis and other menstrual disorders and infertility and to prevent recurrent miscarriage. It is also used in hormone replacement therapy. Trade name: Duphaston.
