High school mathematics teacher in New York, NY, 1964–70; City College of the City University of New York, professor of mathematics education, 1970–, director of international exchange programs, 1983–, dean of School of Education, 1999–. Visiting professor at Technical University of Vienna, University of Vienna, Humboldt University, Federal Pedagogical Academy, Vienna, Austria, University of Warsaw, and Technical University of Berlin.
