Poser, Hans
Poser, Hans , German composer and teacher; b. Tannenbergsthal, Oct. 8, 1917; d. Hamburg, Oct. 1, 1970. He was a pupil of Hindemith and Grabner, and later in Hamburg of Klussmann. From 1947 he taught in Hamburg, and was made a prof. at the Hochschule für Musik there in 1962. He wrote the television chamber opera Die Auszeichnung (1959), instrumental works, the cantata Till Eulenspiegel for Soloists, Chorus, and Orch. (1956) and much other choral music, songs, and pedagogical pieces.
