Taglietti, Luigi
Taglietti, Luigi, Italian trumpet marine player, teacher, and composer; b. 1668; d. probably in Brescia, 1715. He may have been the brother of Giulio Taglietti. From about 1697 he was active at the Jesuit Collegio dei Nobili in Brescia. He played a significant role in the development of the concerto and sonata. He publ. 6 vols, of instrumental music (1697-1709), of which 2 are extant.
