Schramm, Margit
Schramm, Margit, German soprano; b. Dortmund, July 21, 1935; d. Munich, May 12, 1996. She was educated at the Dortmund Cons., and made her debut at Saarbrücken in 1956. She sang in Koblenz (1957–58), in Munich at the Gärtnerplatz State Theater (1959–64), in Berlin at the Theater des Westens (1965–66), and in the municipal theaters in Dortmund (1967). In 1968 she joined the ensemble of the State Theater in Wiesbaden. Her repertoire of German and Austrian operettas was vast and impressive.
