Ray, Don Brandon

Ray, Don Brandon , American conductor and composer; b. Santa Maria, Calif., June 7, 1926. He studied composition with John Vincent at the Univ. of Calif., Los Angeles (B.A., 1948), and with Ernst Kanitz at the Univ. of Southern Calif., and conducting with Roger Wagner and Richard Lert. He composed Orch. pieces; Protestant church services, incidental music to theatrical plays, and Symrock (symphonic rock) for Orch. (1978).
