Ottani, Gaetano
Ottani, Gaetano, Italian tenor, brother of Bernardo Ottani; place and date of birth unknown; d. Turin, 1808. After singing in Bologna (1747) and Lucca (1748), he appeared in Turin in 1750, where he served as primo uomo at the court opera from 1754 to 1768. He also sang in Milan in 1752 and in 1770. In addition to his career as a tenor, Ottani was active as a landscape painter.
