Mangon, Johannes
Mangon, Johannes, South Netherlands composer; b. c. 1525; d. Aachen, 1578. He was a duodenus in the collegiate choir school of St. Martin-en-Mont in Liège (1535–42), where he was made officiatus in 1544 and 2nd succentor in 1562; he also served as rector of the altar of St. Jean-le-Baptiste. About 1567 he became active at Aachen Cathedral, where he was succentor by 1572. Mangon composed many fine masses and motets.
