Kromolicki, Joseph
Kromolicki, Joseph, Polish-born German choral conductor, musicologist, and composer; b. Posen, Jan. 16, 1882; d. Berlin, Oct. 11, 1961. He studied with Haberl and Haller in Regensburg and with Pfitzner, Kretzschmar, and Wolf in Berlin, where he took his Ph.D. at the Univ. in 1909 with the diss. Die Practica artis musicae des Amerus. He was active as a choral conductor in Berlin. He ed. Musica Sacra from 1908 and vols. 45, 48, and 57 of Denkmäler Deutscher Tonkunst. Among his compositions were 5 masses, a Te Deum, organ preludes, and sacred songs.
