Karjalainen, Ahti , Finnish conductor and composer; b. Oulu, March 20, 1907; d. Jyväskylä, Oct. 2, 1986. He studied composition at the Helsinki Cons., the Viipuri Inst., and the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. After playing violin and trombone in various orchs., he conducted the Jyväskylä City Orch
