Cond., Bologna Chamber Orch. 1948–53. Founder and dir., Piccola Accademia Musicale, Florence, 1952. Founder, Clarion Concerts, NY, 1956. Taught at NY Univ. 1964–74 and Univ. of Calif. at Irvine 1971–9. Expert on music of Sammartini, J. M. Kraus, and Cherubini.
