Hennerberg, Carl Fredrik

Hennerberg, Carl Fredrik, Swedish organist and musicologist; b. Algaras, Jan. 24, 1871; d. Stockholm, Sept. 17, 1932. As a young man, he was an organist at Varola. He then went to Stockholm, where he studied at the Cons. (1899–1903) and remained on the faculty as a harmony teacher. In 1909 he was appointed organist at the Royal Chapel. He specialized in the study of organ manufacture, and traveled in European countries to collect information. He publ. Die schwedischen Orgeln des Mittelalters (Vienna, 1909) and Orgelns byggnad och vard (Uppsala, 1912; 2nd ed., 1928).
